The Black Phoenix Inn

It was a surprisingly fraught time - and for all that? Large parts of it were excruciatingly boring, like spending a whole day in the ER while they tried to bring my pancreatic enzymes into the normal range. No TV, only one book, no one to talk to until my friend Tracy showed up - the only saving grace was that the room they had me in was pretty much private, so on Thursday night they shut the door and I got a good night's sleep.
