House is DONE!

The new carpet is in, and it's beautiful! It's a wonderful variegated blue with a bit of sculpting, soft and thick underfoot, and looks marvelous with the new paint and kitchen floor. I can't wait to get the furniture back in so I can finally, at last, put my own stamp on the Shack.

Yesterday was also my last day at work. Oddly enough, I felt pretty ambiguous - I'd really expected to leave yelling "Dobby is FREE!" but instead I sat in my car and thanked the Agency for teaching me what I could endure in a work situation, and for giving me back my self-confidence at a time when I truly thought I was unemployable. I'm going to miss the clinicians and the clinic director (who is writing a grad school recommendation for me!)...but as long as the billing department runs the place, it's not the place for me.

Ave atque vale, as they say. And thanks for all the fish.

Two friends of mine, T and B, have been looking for a new house. They currently live in a tiny condo with their sixteen year old foster daughter and (sometimes) FD's younger brother, and they are simply running out of room.
