Siren threw up tonight, mewed as if she were in pain, and stood there looking completely bewildered and agonized. I grabbed the stuff she vomited on, rinsed it clean, and stood there in the bathroom wondering if this meant another emergency trip, and maybe something really awful.

And within five minutes she was trotting around acting completely normal, and is now grooming herself as if nothing had happened.

I woke up this morning with my lashes starting to crust and my eyes itching. I checked the mirror and yes! It's true!

I have conjunctivitis! And my doctor isn't open until Monday! Hooray!

Health (both human and feline)

Me - I called my doctor on the chance that someone would be able to call in a prescription. Mirabile dictu et stupor mundi, their branch in Feeding Hills was open, so I went down and got myself checked. The doctor thinks I came in just as the pinkeye was starting and gave me prescription eye drops for the next couple of days. The itching is already better, and I'm going to try some of the self-care tips you kind and good people suggested.

Siren - seems perfectly fine. I keep having to remind myself that cats can, and do, barf for no discernible reason....
