My wicked, wicked cat
Jan. 19th, 2012 09:04 pmGil has been on a tear the last few days; now that he's been here almost a month, he seems to have decided that it's Time to Have Fun. This means he's been indulging in:
- Running around chasing Malfoy-the-cat and Diamond. Malfoy seems to be chasing back, but Diamond is NOT happy, and I had to give Gil a nice little swat on the rear after he chased her under the bed and lay in wait for her come out.
- Squeaking a great deal. It's cute but somewhat annoying.
- Running between our feet. This is not only annoying but nearly caused Roomie to trip over him, which could have been bad for them both.
- Extracting chicken bones from the trash and scattering some really disgusting junk on the floor.
- Attempting to get out. He actually succeeded last night, when he wriggled right past Roomie when she came home from Book Group and trotted down the front steps. Fortunately my friend Barbara was right behind Roomie and grabbed him, but he tried it AGAIN when Roomie got the mail this afternoon. This is why I stopped at Dave's Soda & Pet City on the way home tonight and picked up a reflecting collar with a nametag and a bell on it. Now we can at least *hear* him, and if, God forbid, he gets out we'll be able to see him.
I should have named him Houdini. Or Seregil. *sigh*
