Weekend updated
Apr. 8th, 2013 07:03 amAfter three (or possibly four) failed attempts, I FINALLY was able to take Tracy to New York on Saturday. We took Metro North to Grand Central, which she'd never been to, took a cab to the New York Historical Society, and spent several happy hours at the World War II exhibit (magnificent, and very, very highly recommended). We then took the subway to Grand Central, caught the train to New Haven, and ate dinner at a good diner in Cromwell. We were home very late (11:00 for me), but very happy.
Sunday I tried sleeping late (and failed), put in my shift at Wistariahurst (two tours since I was the only docent, and despite being exhausted I did such a good job that the curator told me she wished all her docents were like me), then gave up on rehearsal and crashed in a heap at home. I'm still tired, but overall? Great, great weekend, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
