First - went to Boston Pride with my friend K. Saw the parade (and was very pleased to see many, many Unitarian churches leading the way for marriage equality and gay rights), poked around about the vendor booths at Government Center, picked up a brochure for the co-housing development that
Sunday was taken up with church and a Pennsic encampment meeting. I'm officially paid up for the encampment fee and the meal plan, and will be getting together with
And - I have a job interview next Saturday! My church is looking for a part-time youth coordinator, and I'm interviewing for it at 10:30 on the 16th. It's not enough to live on but it's a great opportunity, and I'm pretty psyched about it.
Even better, Hartford Seminary sent out an e-mail to alumni/ae about a position as the Executive Assistant to the Dean. I've decided to apply for it, and will be doing so tomorrow after I retool my query letter. I also found several excellent job prospects in the paper and will be followign up on those at the same time.
The one drawback to all this...I may have to edit some of my early posts, and will also certainly have to f-lock my fic community if I get either position. I'm a bit sad at this, but if it has to be done, well, it has to be done....
We'll see what happens. Light is at the end of the tunnel, and this time I don't think it's a train...
