Let's see. One of the places I applied to wants to interview me - right now we're trying to work out a time, and I'm trying to work out an excuse that won't raise red flags at work. But it's nice to know that the new resume has some oomph to it.
Better still - I had a cracked filling replaced with a nice, new, shiny resin filling that promises to be longer lasting and less disfiguring. I hadn't realized how nice it was to be able to chew on both sides until suddenly I could do it again.
Also, had one of my little weekly sit-downs with the Billing Manager. No complaints, no problems, and I've been getting "a lot of positive feedback." They're also getting a more solid senior volunteer to replace the current one. I'm still looking for something else, but the edge is off the panic.
Finally - last edits on paper went off. It is DONE. And I am officially in Medieval Clothing & Textiles 4. Go me!
A bit of nostalgia as well...the local PBS station was broadcasting a little documentary on Eddie Shore and the Springfield Indians, the old minor league hockey team that is now the Springfield Falcons. Lovely to hear "Shake, Rattle and Roll" again, and see footage of the skating at the old Coliseum at the Eastern States Exposition. I only saw schoolboy hockey there, but it was a grand place to watch a game.

got any paid vacation? sick time? personal time?
you don't have to give a reason, you can just say "I am taking some (vacation/personal time) on this date."
If they get porky, offer to schedule another meeting. :)
