Not really. But I have coughed up more phlegm, of more colors, in the past three days than I think I have in my entire life. This includes a truly remarkable barrage just after church, where I'm convinced the minister thought I was going to keel over at any second.

Yikes.

Anyway - that's about all for the weekend. The furthest I went was down to Holyoke to watch Doctor Who and Torchwood with Una, and the most effort I expended was sitting on the end of the couch, far away from both Una and her mother so I wouldn't infect them.

Again, yikes.

Fortunately I'm feeling a lot better other than the Cough of Doom. So it looks like Crown Tourney is a go for next weekend unless it really *does* snow....

P.S. We got to see Hot Fuzz while we were waiting for Doctor Who. Great, great movie, and yes, I now think Simon Pegg will do just fine as Scotty in Star Trek.

I must confess that I developed a bit of crush on him after seeing the film

Hope you get well (completely) soon. I know those bad coughs have a way of lingering on and on.

I've never seen Simon Pegg in anything before (or most of those guy for that matter), but I'm looking foward to it.

Btw, today I told dear daughter about meeting her Da at a Star Trek club meeting. She gave me this look and said 'uhm, that's kinds wierd'. And this from my own flesh and blood. *shakes head* The things we trekkies must endure...

;-)

Dang... I hope you shake this illness soon!

But watching Who and Torchwood is a great way to spend recovery time. :D

Isn't it, though? The episodes were "Greeks Bearing Gifts" and "They Keep Killing Suzie." Loved them both. :D

He's a good actor, and his comic timing is great. I just hope he can do a Scottish accent...but so far, the only cast member I'm really worried about is Karl Urban. I just cannot see him as McCoy. *worries*

I know! I hope you take her to cons once in a while - geekiness must endure!

Oh dear, I hope you can shake that cough off soon! Keep well hydrated, and inhale steam (with Friar's Balsam or something similarly aromatic if possible), as that will help. I too have had a Cough O' Doom a couple of times recently, and they are horrible indeed while they last. I'm currently coughing (but nothing like so badly!) due to a flare-up of the asthma caused by anti-inflammatories for my arthritic knee. I'm falling apart...
