Did not get seated on a jury

Did spend much time in the jury room at the courthouse, however, after which I had a splitting headache. I ate, thinking that food would help, and proceeded to have digestive problems. A bath and a nap helped, but it's just as well that I stayed home this afternoon.

When the highlight of the day is seeing a twenty year old film about the legal system where all the women have big hair and shoulder pads, well, you've had a mediocre day.

I'm going to an appointment in Northampton tonight, and then will be home to collapse in a heap. Work tomorrow, and yes, I felt guilty about not going in for the afternoon, but under the circumstances I think I did the right thing since everyone now has my cold anyway :(

Jury, oh noes

I'se just got a nasty note stating that I am to turn up at 8:30 in the morning to be considered for jury duty. Eight thirty am? I haven't be awake before nine for the last seven years. Yikes. With luck I'll be dismissed for sleeping through their questions. I've been known to sleep through my bed being moved. Sigh.
