Challenge: bitter ends (yeah, I know it's not quite the challenge as written, but I couldn't resist)

"I know you're bitter about doing this, ducks, but you really don't have a choice. When was the last time you had a haircut? All those split ends are a disgrace!"
Remus shuddered as the hairdresser ran her fingers through his wet hair, then began snipping and shaping. He'd agreed to this haircut at Molly Weasley's insistence and was already beginning to regret it. How was he supposed to blend in with the werewolf packs now?
"There, all the nasties gone. Let's see about color - "
The hairdresser woke an hour later, foil packs and dyes strewn about her.
