To anyone who is getting a Christmas card from me this year. Thanks to the carpal tunnel, my handwriting is even worse than usual, so please excuse the illegible scrawl in the card. I wish I could type my cards, but alas! they won't go through the printer...

When my Mom had that problem, they had her swap to holding the pen between her middle and first fingers. It took a lot of pressure off of her.
Perhaps a non-standard grip will make things less painful for you?

A bit late here (catching up after two weeks without internet!), but have you tried a Pen-Again? I bought one for my niece for Christmas, and after a couple of hours getting used to it, she's finding it very easy to use. I'd think it might be easier to hold than an ordinary pen...
