I leave at 5:30 tomorrow, and I cannot tell you how relieved I am. Work has been a meatgrinder this week (no, you do not wish to know about the new Office Manager who manages to be dithery, a micromanager, and seemingly incapable of doing her job, not that it stops her from telling me and several other people how to do ours), so I'd want a vacation anyway.
But tomorrow! CushionQuest 2008 begins! I'm almost completely packed, I have my passport, my Euros, and my plane and apartment confirmations, my Italian phrasebook and my guides to Florence, and two books for the plane. I even have handwork to do (I'm taking parts of my silk caftan along with me).
I will report in from Europe once I've arrived (possibly from Amsterdam, since they seem to have a free Internet business center thingy). If anything happens, Una and Roomie will be the ones to spread the word (probably starting with
helwen and
fitzw. I don't anticipate trouble, but for all I know I'll be kidnapped by gypsies or something...:)
Less than 24 hours! Yee-ow!
