With my usual grace and style, I managed to accumulate 18.5 hours of "use it or lose it" personal time that I have to use by July 1st. So, being the geek I am, here's the allocation and what I plan to do with it:
This Friday - leave work at 2:30, head down to Amherst College, and do research for the expansion of my K'zoo paper.
Next Friday - head over to Smith and UMass for more research, especially at Hillyer Art Library. I may well start at UMass and end up at Smith, since it's Second Friday and that means the museum will be open late and will be free to the public.
Thursday the 19th - head down to the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford to use *their* library.
I also need to find a time in July to visit the Hispanic Society of America, but that will likely be on a Saturday, hopefully with
mizpagan. They have a great collection of books and old Spanish textiles, plus they're completely free. It should be great.

And in Pennsic Panic mode - I'm making two chitons for Pennsic (one a nice sort of dark cinnamon toast color, the other a pretty dull bluish-green) and one cochineal purple Italian Ren for EK Court/Midnight Madness. The Roman clothing is so simple I'm wondering why I didn't do this years ago!

Finally - prescription for physical therapy on bum knee is in the mail. There are several places near the Agency, so it should be fairly easy to take a long lunch and have them work on the knee. I really would like Pennsic to be as painfree as possible....
