First - went to the bank and got the proof I need to send the bookkeepers at my doctor's office so they'll stop dunning me for the bill I paid on May 5th. Go me!
Second - found an Energy Star Kenmore refrigerator at Sears. It's bigger and better designed than what I have now, will cost much, much less to operate, and best of all, it's on sale, with free delivery and removal of the old Whirlpool. Roomie will be home on Monday and Wednesday, so I'm going to go back to Sears tomorrow to arrange for delivery, plus pick up a cooler to house our food during the transfer.
In other news, had a lovely lunch with Mistress C, followed by a visit to Sephora and a lot of appliance browsing at Sears (we both lusted over this amazing washing machine which is ridiculously expensive but just about perfect...*sigh*). After that it was a visit to Una and her mother, during which I finished my stola and started work on my second St. Birgitta cap.
I also found time for a quick shopping trip to Jo-Ann's, where I purchased the makings for a hemp corset since I've been told that they're extremely comfortable and practical. Now, if only someone can point me in the direction of proof that they were used during the 15th century, it will all be good....
