Is down to the following:
1. Clean out Sapphy's rear seat, make sure boots are in it, and place garb tub and cosmetic case therein.
2. Place last bit of bedding in trunk.
3. Make sure the directions to
alphasarah's house are in the front seat.
4. Withdraw trip money from bank.
5. Iron mundane clothes for trip to Pittsburgh.
6. Call Denise to check on date and time of lunch.
That's it.
Wow.
*falls over*
Had dinner with BG and TG, two of my oldest friends, on Friday. We did a lot of good, solid talking about the house renovations and suchlike, and watched National Treasure 2 on cable. It's not as good as the first one, but it was still an enjoyable romp.
Saturday, I picked out carpet and linoleum samples. I've pretty much decided on the carpet (the multicolored blue) but am torn between two kitchen floorings. One is a better color, less slippery, and simulates Italian tiling, while the other one is thicker and has a longer warranty. I'm tempted to go with the shorter warranty because it won't show dirt nearly as much, plus is less slick and has a more attractive pattern...but part of me is saying that I shouldn't be penny wise and pound foolish. Here is the one that looks better, and here is the other. Opinions from those who've actually been in my house would be welcome.
I also had lunch with Mistress C and picked up a couple of books at the Odyssey in South Hadley, plus may have found another pieced bedcovering in Italian art: The Annunciation, by Barna di Siena, c. 1340. This one may be woven, but it could just as easily be pieced - is a trip to San Gimignano to see the thing in person in my future????
Finally, did last bit of laundry today. Tomorrow night is (maybe) a stitch & bitch in Hadley, or maybe not....
