The cabinets are painted and look GORGEOUS! The room seems twice as large - I can't wait for all the work to be done so I can post before-and-after pictures! This is fabulous!

Tomorrow: the deck is power-washed.

Wednesday: the deck dries out.

Thursday: the deck gets two coats of water seal.

Friday: the new carpet is installed.

Next Tuesday: the furniture returns.

Wednesday: I start unpacking the books and start culling. *blech*

How are your last few days of slavery and oppression going? Let me guess.... either they have hired someone's Best Crony to be your replacement, or else despite your having given them notice so you could train someone, they somehow haven't gotten around to doing that yet....

BTW, book unpacking is your perfect opportunity to add vast swathes of your library to LibraryThing..... which also gives you a chance to sit down now and then.

I've got a four-day weekend coming up and am thinking about doing a bout of book-organizing myself...

It's also a chance to do my semi-annual book cull. The local library will either arise and call me blessed, or curse my name. I'm not sure which yet.
