Sad news from Hawaii

Madelyn Dunham, grandmother of Barack Obama, died this morning just after midnight Honolulu time, one day before the election. Her grandchildren have requested donations to a cancer charity in her honor, and will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.

Regardless of one's political affiliation, this is a sad thing.
