Snow day

In addition to all the snow we got on Friday and Saturday, they're predicting another 4-8" of heavy snow, with a wind advisory tonight. Normally I would pooh-pooh this, except that the mountain road over Mount Tom, which has an 8% grade, is closed for the duration.

Also, they cancelled church services today. Guess who's going to spend the day at home, knitting, watching TV, and reading?

I woke up and it had already started. It's picked up a little since, and I've turned the heat up a touch - but otherwise, we're OK over here and dug out from the previous storm (12" or so).

Meanwhile, the icicles by the kitchen window ballooned last night to about 4" diameter.

It's a great day to stay indoors! The flakes just got larger (outside the house - important to specify). So it looks like the storm is picking up a tad. Be warm!

Canceling church? Wow, that's serious snow.

I've checked in with my Dad and they seem to be all cozy and well fed over there.

NOT looking forward to driving on snow. I will be one of those little old ladies creeping along in the far right lane.
