Went to work today and lasted the full eight hours, then ran some errands, finished my reading assignment for school, and came home. Very little pain from the bad tooth, mainly soreness at the injection site, so I'm not filling the Vicodin script. People at work were suitably impressed when I told them about the endodontist using the word "necrotic," so I definitely have boasting rights as to the gravity of my health issues, for what it's worth.
Tomorrow is a farewell party for Executive Assistant, then a nice long weekend. Tuesday we welcome a new admin assistant who looks like she'll fit right in with the general level of Utter Geekitude at work. I have work to do for my course and have figured out how to use the Webcam of Doom, which bears a disturbing resemblance to the Emerald Eye of Ekron, only gray. The microphone is powerful enough to pick up Siren in all her glory, and by God she does sound exactly like a squalling baby. Very odd.
It's supposed to be stinking hot this weekend, so Una and I will probably be taking refuge in a theater to see Star Trek....
And so it goes.
