The killing of Dr. Tiller

I am still reeling at this news. Gunning down a man IN CHURCH is so purely evil that I cannot believe anyone, for any reason, could justify it.

My prayers are with the Tillers tonight, and with all the women he might have saved.

I'm remembering Shakespear's Hamlet. He wouldn't kill his uncle/step-father at prayers, because a man at killed during his prayers would go straight to heaven no matter what his sins.

That stray thought aside, I can't imagine disturbing the church by bringing in a gun. Much less any of the rest of it.

Don't worry-- tonal inflection's hard to put down in print! :) I didn't take it as cryptic, just that I hadn't made my reply clear.

Anyway, nope not a word of it around here-- didn't even make the national section of either of the local papers. My condolences go out to his family.
