Why oh why is it all right cast Australians as Americans?

In particular, why are they casting Alex O'Loughlin as a Pittsburgher? And give him the surnname of one of the bravest labor leaders Pittsburgh has produced?


I really was hoping that Three Rivers would be worth watching, but based on the clips I've seen the suits once again can't be bothered to cast someone who can do a Pittsburgh accent.
