etienetteblue and Leofwyna for an enchanting time yesterday. They picked me up just after class, showed me William Jennings Bryan's house and the Sunken Garden in Lincoln (just GORGEOUS), and then drove me to Mag Mor's A&S night. I made many friends, spoke on medieval quilts, and had a wonderful time. Afterwards we went to Tico's for Mexican and I socialized more with my new SCAdian friends.
The evening ended with my hostesses taking me back to the Sunken Garden, which looks very much like fairyland at night. There was at least one couple sitting on a bench overlooking a waterfall, being romantic, and we speculated how many couples got engaged there in the night air.
Just wonderful, and makes me feel much better about my residence semester. It's more likely to be in 2012 than 2010 at this point, but I won't be alone when I arrive. Vivant to two wonderful ladies and their Barony!
