I called my Congressman today

To voice my support for a public option in healthcare. Of course it was preaching to the choir since my representative is John Olver, who is one of the sixty-plus reps who've vowed that no healthcare bill *without* a public option will be sent to the Senate, but it still felt good.

I also got a letter back from my senior Senator, Ted Kennedy, thanking me for my support. It was a form letter, of course, but it was nice that his staff still has the time to do something like this considering that the man was too sick to attend his sister's funeral last week...:(

I wrote my congress critters yesterday as well. It was very reassuring that all of them were Democrats. It'll be interesting to see how quickly I get replies.

Unfortunately I've missed my representative's town hall meeting, I'd've gone just to get extra info.
