Nice, quiet, and productive

I slept late today, had a leisurely breakfast, and then headed over to Webs to pick up some sock needles. chrisilin, knitprincess, alistrina, and KP's friend Lisa were there, and we had a great time browsing and buying. I then headed over to the local bead store to pick up beads to repair my Laurel medallion's necklace, which needed to be extended and have a couple of beads replaced.

After that I was peckish and headed over to the Northampton Brewery for a cup of their excellent chili...and Knitprincess, Lisa, and Alistrina were sitting in the sunroom! They kindly agreed to let me join them and we had a great time talking about cats and knitting. :)

After that I did a little shopping, had an ice cream at Herrell's, and headed home. The Laurel medallion is completely repaired (just in time for Crestfallen, go me!) and I started a gauge swatch for the socks I foolishly hope to make this fall. Roomie and I chatted bit, and much to my surprise, Siren, the noisy but shy old lady cat, joined us by the back door! It's the first time she's been that far out of my bedroom in a while, and it was good to see.

Tomorrow's agenda: brunch with chrisilin and the rest of the Barony, then cleaning and rearranging furniture. Pray for me....

I think I'm going to investigate Webs next Saturday. So many people rave about it and it isn't that far away from where my Mum lives.

You'll love it, but be warned: the warehouse is HUGE. And scary. And full of yarn.

It was pretty excellent. :) I bought more than I thought I would and spent less, so it was all good.
