In memory of family and friends who have lost the battle with cancer; and in support of the ones who continue to conquer it! Post this on your LJ if you know someone who has or had cancer. 93% won't copy and paste this. Will you?


My aunt Betty and my uncle Oscar. They were brother and sister and died of different sorts of cancer. Betty refused to go into a hospice and slowly wasted away, refusing to acknowledge and deal with her own mortality. Oscar received the fatal diagnosis, nodded, threw away everything but his painkillers, and died on his own terms within a few weeks. I think he had the right of it.
