Depending upon where it is/how deep it is, don't despair. I chipped a porclain crown 15 years ago and it's still going strong, no need for repairs or anything. In fact, about 5 years afterwards, a new dentist just ground down the edge a bit and voila, no problems. *crosses fingers that you're lucky too*
