Something I've long wanted is a studio of some sort. I don't mean an artist's studio, but a room somewhere with a desk, a chair, bookshelves, and privacy so I can finally, finally, FINALLY write the big, bold book on medieval quilting. I've been looking in a very desultory way for a few months, but given that a) I have a very limited budget (around $100, $150 tops), and b) don't want to be more than five minutes from the house, you can see that there's a bit of problem with finding something.
My quest may be over.
I decided, just for giggles, to check Craigslist. And what do I find but a composer in Florence, about five minutes by car, who's looking for a third person to share a penthouse space for $138/month?
Seriously.
There's one very inadequate picture, but I've e-mailed the composer with some questions about equipment, AC, and so on. It would be a bit of a stretch financially, but if the space is decent and they let me keep my books there, it's worth it.
My God. A *studio*. Yes, I'd have to share it, but even so....
I'm trying to set up a tour on Saturday before my next docenting shift. We'll see.

And in health news -
I'm about 95%. Eating more fruits and veggies is proving extremely beneficial, to say the least....
