Cold, haily, windy night

So far we've only gotten about three inches of snow, but the temperature has dropped and the wind is whipping through the trees with a low, dull roar. It's finally time for Mum's old Hudson Bay Blanket on the bed, and possibly a cat or two curled up purring.

Winter has finally come.
