Siren Stumptail, February 2014-September 28, 2011

It's finally time - Siren barely touched her food this morning, and she's barely moved all day. Tomorrow at 8:30 Roomie and I will be taking her to the vet for the last time and making sure that her suffering is at an end.

May Lady Bast receive her faithful servant, and may Siren romp and play and be a good, loving cat to her humans in her next life. She was my girl from the day I first found her on my porch all those years ago, and she won't be alone when she makes that last journey into the dark.

I'm so sorry. I was a mess when we had to take my bunny of 10 years for the last time. (she wasn't eating and couldn't hop any more) Hang in there.

I'm so sorry that you're facing this. It's such a sad, sad time. May you find some modicum of comfort in knowing that you have proven worthy of her trust in you by humanely ending her suffering while also staying by her side to comfort her to her last moments. Thanks. She's lost so much weight, and she's eating so little - evidently she ate a bit more and groomed herself this afternoon, but I found vomit near her and I think it was hers. Even if she rallies a tiny bit, it's not worth it any more.

Thanks. The tumor had just gotten too big, and she was suffering. She passed very peacefully.
