I'm doing okay - had a productive day at work yesterday, and slept decently last night. But I still feel a pang when I look toward the corner of the living room where Siren had spent her time recently, and the house feels far too quiet.

Diamond and Malfoy are a bit clingy, too - they both slept with me last night. Poor kitties seem bewildered.

I am sorry honey. Kitties are family.

I lost a dog to a pickup truck just before I left San Diego, and the other dog was lost for weeks until I got a new puppy. (that 'puppy' is now 15, my goodness) Our furbabies are much more sensitive and feel much more than I think some people realize. I'm glad they could sleep with you last night, and I hope that you and they drew comfort from each other.

When I came home from school after my kitty died I kept looking around for him out of habit. I kept expecting to hear his little trill and have him bound down the stairs when I walked in the door.

It's been a couple of years now, but I still feel the house is a little empty without him there.

I'm glad you have two other kitties so you can all give one another comfort. *Hugs*

#HUGS# :(

Yeah, loss isn't easy, even if you know it's coming, and poor kitties don't understand where she went.

Hang in there, dear! Don't hesitate to ping me if you want to talk!

Sad to hear about your loss...

I definitely understand the clingy kitty part. Our feral kitty was best friends with our recently departed orange tabby. We could only very rarely get near enough to her to pet her.

Since Orlando has been gone, we now actually have a standing evening petting session with her. She definitely misses her snuggle buddy.

::hugs:: They are probably not just clingy for their own sake, but for yours. Cats can be very sensitive about distress and try to comfort by staying close.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
