Remember this handsome young man?

Well, after a lot of thought, unanimous approval from people here and on Daily Kos, and a cry of "Oh, he's so pretty!" from Roomie, the cat soon to be known as Alec will be coming north to join my household. I have to work out details with [livejournal.com profile] chrisilin since I'm still hoping to bring the female tabby kitten home in a couple of weeks, but he'll be here by the end of the month.

I can't wait - he's had a rough start, poor fellow, and I will do everything I can to give him a good home, with a soft bed, other cats to play with him, and as much love as he needs. And if I end up a Crazy Cat Lady, well, I've been called worse :)

He is getting a good home; I am sure he will be happy. (And so what if you become a crazy cat lady? They will be well loved cats. Plus, eternal sanity is overrated.)

If he's getting driven, and coming anyplace near me, I can do a leg.
He's lovely, I wish you all many snuggles together!

He's gorgeous, and you could do SO much worse than to become a Crazy Cat Lady.

I can see how that young feline would prove an irrestible temptation!

It's my goal to become a crazy cat lady in my aging years. He's beautiful! Congrats!

Your kitty is now neutered, vaccinated, and certified virus-free. He also has a foster home (where he will be going tonight) until whenever you are ready for him :)

Oh, I'm so glad he's healthy! I was a bit worried since he'd been outside.

As to when to send him...I'm going to finalize the exact date of KittenQuest 2011 tomorrow at Yule. Most likely it will be the 17th of December. Would it be easier to bring both new cats into the house at the same time, or start with the little one and Alec a week later? I'm fully prepared for World War III to erupt no matter what happens but figured I'd ask the vet first...:)

Is there anything I'll need to be aware of with Alec, like other cats/peeing where he shouldn't/etc?

It doesn't matter how many cats; the line between hoarder (Crazy Cat Lady) and cat rescue hero is not in numbers, but in whether the animals get proper care. And Alec is lovely, although with that name, I would probably speak to him with answers in the form of a question. :)

He looks nice. A fine addition to the crew.
