Good news on the shoulder
Feb. 18th, 2011 07:55 pmI finally had my shoulder x-rayed this week, and got the results yesterday:
No damage.
In other words, no tears to the rotator cuff, no arthritis, no calcifications, no rips in the tendons or muscle, *nothing*. My doctor believes that it was a bad muscle strain, nothing more, and has told me to continue with 800 mg of ibuprofen three times per day. I do not need surgery or cortisone shots, and as long as I rest the arm for a few more weeks, it should be fine.
So...this pushes my master plan to become a female Robin Hood back by a couple of months, and may mean I have to defer donating blood until mid to late March. But not having surgery? I'll take it, thankyewverramuch.
