Alternatve opening scene to the Avengers

Which sets a very different tone for the movie...and why I am not surprised in the slightest at the identity of the only Avenger who actually appears in this scene?

That was surprisingly dull. I'm glad it was cut.
Thank you for sharing it, it did retroactively enhance my enjoyment of the
opening they did go with.
