Excuse me... but is this a dangerous thing? (my english is a bit rusty on computer vocabulary) because I used my mom's computie on wednesday to visit that site, and in the morning it was impossible to have an internet connexion(and still is)... I didn't think it was related, but now I have a doubt...
The programs will clog up your computer and cause it to run very slowly. I would suggest using a scrubbing program like Spybot or Ewido to remove all the extra programs.
That's *appalling* of them! Did all of this spyware install itself just by you visiting the site, or would one have to actually comment/login to activate the sneaky downloads?
I heard from someone else that their site was bugged so I didn't visit it. You might want to get a program like Zone alarm as well, which is free, and gives good protection along with Spybot.
I wonder if, legally, the WFI site is reportable for being bugged with spyware and viruses? You'd think it would.
Yeah, I'd heard it was bugged so I didn't want to risk it (my laptop belongs to my work). I could just see me explaining to my boss what happened, "You don't understand, they were threatening my PrOn!"
