Take a good look at the cover art for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. A really good look. Especially at Harry's face. Especially the zoom they have in the advertisement at www.the-leaky-cauldron.org.

Thank you.

So - am I the only one who's noticed that Harry's scar seems to have disappeared?

it makes sense.
If everything is resolved, why would he still have the mark?

It's very faintly there on the US cover, sort of blends in with his bangs. I also looked at the UK kids' cover, and on that one the scar is very distinct.

What I found interesting is that both Harry and Voldemort are looking in the same direction, off to the side. So who's the third party?

The third party is... Snape! He kills both of them and runs away. To Acapulco. To be a pirate.

"No, Lupin, I will *not* say 'ahoy.' Only a dunderhead would say such a ridiculous thing. And I will not wear an incontinent, chattering bird on my shoulder. Haven't you heard of parrot fever? Or does the fur grow into your brain as well as on you skull?"

Ha! I was just thinking the same thing last night. I even examined the OotP and HBP covers -- the scar is done very lightly in those, so I didn't know if maybe it was too light to see in the scan? It could very definitely be missing.

Clearly this is a polyjuiced Harry. Yep. That's it. It's Snape, because he knocked Harry out to keep him safe, so he could face Voldie instead, and because he promised Dumbledore to make sure Harry wouldn't take a life or use an Unforgiveable. Yep. But when Harry comes to after it's all over, he'll say Snape was just trying to take all the credit. Angst, woe, eventual shagging. It all works. *nods sagely* ;) (And if anyone wants that bunny, it's free to a good home.) :)
