Weekend plans

Accomplished last night: Pennsic laundry. Yes, really. All four chemises, nine tunics, two veils, and three gowns are clean and ready to be pressed. My thermal undertunic is still clean, I need to find my favorite veil and make at least one more, and I have to pack, but having everything be clean is a huge weight off my mind.

Not accomplished today: I was originally supposed to day-trip to Readercon. However...it's in Burlington, about two hours away, and I'm still not 100%. As much as I wanted to see some friends, going would have been tempting fate, so I am staying home.

On tap for tomorrow: grabbing mizpagan (11:00 good for you, Pagan?), then driving to Sturbridge to meet up with xrian for lunch and a tour of Old Sturbridge Village. I haven't been farther than the herb garb for about six years, so it should be fun. Also haven't seen xrian since K'zoo, so it's good all around.

Sorry that you missed Readercon (I've missed it too, this year, Next Year in Burlington...Mazel Tov!) Are you going to GNEW, this year? If so, I'll try to dig up a book for you, that I found here.

Oh, and I tried to find a copy of that Alchemical symbols book, that I saw at Barnes and Noble, with no luck what so ever. Favorite moment (okay, for certain definitions of the word "favorite") was the clerk who had no idea what 'alchemy' was, and insisted that they didn't carry any books at all on the subject. (Yes, they did have Giordano Bruno's book right behind her)
