Date: 2007-08-19 11:47 am (UTC)From:Isn't it a shame women feel they have to worry about stuff like that when men with grey hair look "distinguished"? If only I looked like Anne Bancroft I could get away with it. ;)

Date: 2007-08-20 02:59 pm (UTC)From:I've been dying my hair on and off, various colours, since my teens. When I first got into Star Trek fandom 30 years ago (ulp!) I dyed it black for a Vulcan costume, which looked very odd growing out! Eventually, I got tired of the grey showing up as pink or orange, gritted my teeth and let it all grow out to be cut off, then started going blonde, which blends the grey in much better. ...However, for Sectus I went Weasley, so I'm now looking for a root touch-up in light auburn!
