Ugh, you're so lucky. The increasingly grey stripes at my temples are getting timesome and dying my hair with home dyes to any shade that isn't darker than my natural color turns my hair orange. :/
Isn't it a shame women feel they have to worry about stuff like that when men with grey hair look "distinguished"? If only I looked like Anne Bancroft I could get away with it. ;)
Cool! I know it can be hard getting a perfect match.
Btw, I'm due for a coloring as well but can't decide if I want to just color, or try highlights too. Have you ever highlighted your own hair, or is it a 2-person job? Or something best left to the professionals??
How does one get an application? I can't get to the campus during office hours. Could you possibly pick one up for me? I can arrange to come to your house to pick up....
i have been dying and streaking my hair for a few years now. I found that the dying never looked quite right and of course when it started to grow out... but add in streaks and the grey then just looks like it was part of the streak... also a plus is that you don't wind up re-dyign nearly so often because of the two effects ... grin. Good luck with the interview.
I've been dying my hair on and off, various colours, since my teens. When I first got into Star Trek fandom 30 years ago (ulp!) I dyed it black for a Vulcan costume, which looked very odd growing out! Eventually, I got tired of the grey showing up as pink or orange, gritted my teeth and let it all grow out to be cut off, then started going blonde, which blends the grey in much better. ...However, for Sectus I went Weasley, so I'm now looking for a root touch-up in light auburn!
