Because Moriarty over at Aintitcool.com is reporting that Mike Vogel has been cast as Captain Kirk in the upcoming Star Trek relaunch.
Opinions? The guy looks too blond to me, but then again they've cast 5'7" Zoe Saldana to play Uhura, a part originated by 5'2" Nichelle Nichols, so who knows?

OTOH, he's in Cloverleaf (or whatever that JJ Abrahms NYC movie is currently being called) and that's slightly cool.
