*Are* there any marginally acceptable Republicans in the running? As far as I can tell from my reading, they're all crackpots in one way or another, and most of them would be disasters to the things *I* care about.

Personally, the last Republican I was on polite speaking terms with was Bill Weld, one of the few with sufficient spine to continue his pro-choice stance in the face of his own party's opposition. It's too bad he dropped out of politics.
