We have around a foot down. Fortunately Roomie had started shoveling by the time I got home (my thirty minute commute took about 3 hours, including a stop for lunch, thanks to traffic and unplowed roads), and I finished. I purchased a Toro Snow Thrower on the way home and like it just fine, but alas! I need a longer extension cord to reach the bottom of the driveway. Guess what's on my to-buy list tomorrow?
I also went out about an hour ago and shoveled the two feet of impacted snow left by the alert and industrious Easthampton DPW when they plowed in the bottom of my driveway. I devoutly hope they won't have left another two feet when I get up for work tomorrow morning....
