Obama wins for the Democrats, with Edwards and Clinton in a near-tie for second.

Huckabee decisively beats Romney.

Obama is good. Huckabee freaks me out. Mind you, I agree with the poster above; all of the Repubs give me the screaming heebee geebees. (Well except for McCain but I don't like him because he's a screaming hypocrite. I voted for him in 2000 in the Virginia primary 'cause I thought he was a damned sight better 'n the Shrub but he's flipped and flopped so much I can't stand it. Still, he seems to me to be the least of the Repub. evils.)

I was a little wigged by Huckabee, until hubby pointed out that he's still a long shot, and this early victory might cause chaos among the republicans and they will all start feeding off each other to the benefit of the dems.

Our phones were ringing off the hook (vast majority of calls from the Edwards campaign, trailing in third place) until I started asking the various supporters and pollsters NOT to call us back. Ever. It doesn't help that we have two phone lines, so those with auto-dialers generally get both lines ringing at once.

Scariest TV ads so far are from Giuliani, who seems to be running primarily on paranoia. He seems to think that illegal aliens are the only thing that worry voters. News flash - we're more worried about a pointless/endless war, our less-than-wonderful economy and a screamingly expensive health care system. Than again, maybe it's just as well he's clueless about our concerns, as he'd make a lousy president anyway.

I'm looking forward to peace and quiet on the 9th...
