1. What is your SCA Name? Sarah Davies of Monmouth.
2. What time and where do you portray? Late 15th/early 16th century Welsh merchant resident in Verona.
3. In plain English describe your device. Gold, three black phoenixes.
4. How long have you been in the SCA? Since the autumn of 1989.
5. Do you have any special titles you have earned? Mistress of the Laurel.
6. What kingdom and local group do you belong to? Bergental, Kingdom of the East.
7. Do you have preferred colors for your SCA Persona? I tend to wear a lot of blue and green.
8. What is your war that you look forward to going to every year? Pennsic
9. Do you hold any offices? Currently Minister of Arts & Sciences. I've also been the baronial chronicler and guildmistress of the Needleworkers.
10. Favorite memory from an event? My friend Sir Tommaltach being knighted was the most moving. The funniest was Balfar receiving "the head of the Great Baloney." The most shocking was receiving my writ for the peerage.
11. Are you a fighter? What kind? Oh dear God no!
12. Are you crafty (making things)? Embroidery, quilting, patchwork, some garb.
13. Do you teach classes at events? Yes.
14. Do you play instruments at events? No, since the only instrument I play is the piano.
15. Do you dance at events? I am a dreadful, dreadful dancer.
16. Do you feel that there is enough flirting and chivalrous behavior in the SCA? Not enough of either, especially the chivalry. It really cheeses me off to see male peers in particular let overburdened females, of any rank, struggle with heavy burdens.
17. Are you a "Black Hat" or a "White Hat"? I'm not sure what this means; the closest I have to a hat is probably my Laurel wreath, which is green Swarovski crystals and somewhat overpowering in strong light. Definitions would be helpful.
18. What is one of the reasons you've remained in the SCA? Friends, the opportunity to do my research and bounce it off knowledgeable people, the company of other geeks :).
19. What peerage(s) do you aspire to? One is more than enough for me!
20. Who was Crown when you joined the SCA? I think it was Ronald and Bronwyn.
21. If you are a Peer, who was the Crown that elevated you? Darius and Roxane during their third reign.
22. Have you lived in more than 1 kingdom and which ones? Nope.
23. Have you helped found a group? No, but I assisted at the investiture of the first Baron and Baroness of Bergental.
