Ear worm time

There was a semi-instrumental piece about ten years ago with heavy synthesizers, a sort of ambient music feel, and a male voice occasionally saying something that sounded like "Hey - hey - hey - woa-ah." Does anyone know what this is? It's driving me nuts, not knowing the group....

Are you thinking of something by Enigma... They had that medieval dance club mojo going.

Hm. Maybe...don't remember them too well, but I can check at B&N.

Is it perhaps Return to Innocence, by Enigma?

Edited to add: I think what you're thinking of is the chorus, which first shows up at 1:33

That was one of their bigger hits, but they have other songs.

(Dirty Vegas, "Days go by")

Peregrine linked to it a while ago.

Don't think so...this was slow, very atmospheric, and had this odd little hesitation - chord-pause-chord-pause-chord-pause, then the hey - hey - hey thing. I'm almost certain it was all synthesizers with very minimal vocals.

Last time I heard that was about eight years ago and I was having a massage at Shrubland Hall, during a thunderstorm. Very atmospheric!
