ellid | And finally, an end in sight

Talked to my estate lawyer tonight - they're sending me the paperwork to take care of Betty's headstone. It was originally sent over by the cemetery in October, but a new (and soon to be gone) secretary misfiled it, so I'm not getting it until now. *kicks idiot secretary* That's one of the last few tasks to be done, thank God.

Lawyer says that the hearing to accept the audit of Betty's estate will take place sometime in late March or early to mid-April. I don't have to attend in person, fortunately, but I do have to be available by telephone. As soon as we get a hearing date, I'll arrange to take a personal day at work and simply not leave the house except to get the mail.

After that, it's simply a matter of setting up my cousin's trust and cutting checks, and we're finally, finally DONE!!!!

*throws confett*

And one more thing: Denise's brother wants to buy two of the three graves I inherited from my uncle via my mother via my aunt. The third I will donate to a local memorial society. I'll probably use the money to have my own cremation prepaid and the plaque taken care of at my church....:)
