All equal blech.

I went to the Hrim Schola this weekend to teach. The session was very helpful, and I know that at least one question that came up will be addressed in my K'zoo paper. The trip back was windy and had more than its quota of large branches and flooding on the roads (I felt very sorry for [livejournal.com profile] fitzw having to drive in the dark), and then of course I had to set the clocks ahead.

Work tomorrow will likely be unspeakable. No wonder I'm exhausted all the time.

Ooh! Whose question? Was it mine? Was it mine? :)

As a matter of fact, it WAS your question. :)

Which one? As I recall, I was quite annoying in that class. :)

I believe it was you who asked how I was sure that those hangings were actually patchwork and not woven.

Also, a quote for you, from the Inventory of Henry VIII, 1547, p. 233, ed. by David Starkey:

In Westminster, in the study at the hether (sic) end of the Long Gallery:

10445 - item a Case of Woodde conteyning litle knitting needles of silver - deficit (missing).

Missing? The whole thing was missing or it was missing one needle? Because dude, SO been there.

That's a direct quote, alas. I assume that the case and contents were supposed to be there and weren't, alas.

I wonder if the little needles were intended for knitting stockings? Henry had several pair of knitted silk hose.

I don't recall you being annoying...I recall asking a lot of "duh" questions about piecing techniques.

BTW, if I didn't say it Saturday, good class! I'm so glad you got to go see Mr. Cushion and come back and tell us all about it!
