Roomie and I went to a Hartford Seminary alumnae alumni event yesterday. It was a joint presentation by Imam Yayha Hendi, Muslim chaplain at Georgetown and Hartford Seminary MA '93, and Yehezkel Landau, faculty associate at the Seminary. It was a stunning program on Jewish/Muslim reconciliation and cooperation in the Middle East, and was followed by an excellent reception at The Flying Rhino restaurant in Worcester. Roomie is now interested in attending more programs at Hartford Seminary, and I'm interested in more alumni events. Very, very good day, and a great way to start Holy Week.
In less good news, the agency where I used to work is closing, and its clinicians are being offered jobs at another, larger behavioral health agency. No word on the administrative staff, who are some of the best and hardest-working people I've ever known.
