I believe you should go where you want for however long you can afford. :-)

Exactly.

Weirdly LJ treated this as "adult content". Although I realized that I was logged out at the time I went to read it. I laughingly certified that I was over 14.

well, hopefully too many preteens aren't worrying about quitting their jobs.

Maybe LJ is afraid that Justine will read it and learn that Daddy and Mummy's old friend occasionally uses Bad Words?

LJ hasn't been to our house then. I don't think you've used any that we haven't. Purely by accident of course.

I had to say Salzburg and Vienna because I was just there :D. But I remember hearing something about medieval textiles at one of the museums in Prague, so that would be good, too.

I was tempted to click on the 'month' or even longer, but you might miss the kitties too much for longer than two weeks. And of course, they would miss you!

Very definitely true. Also, Diamond has lately started swiping food from the kitchen counter - only Roomie's food, mind, never mine. I'm afraid that if I went away for a really long time I'd come back to find that Diamond was now a nifty little evening bag....

Looking for the "All of the above" box........... :)

You left out Edinburgh and Glasgow and Paris! All of which are worth visiting and some of which have built-in comprehensible tour guides ;)

I said Salzburg and Vienna because I've never been ;)

I also chose 1 week because at 2 weeks one tends to be DONE AND READY TO GO HOME while at 1 week, you're still able to function on little sleep and you know that you can always come back.

Plus the cats LOL

If you seriously consider Prague, Budapest, and Cesky Krumlov, check around and see if there's any issues for American women traveling alone there. Anthony Bourdain certainly didn't think Romania was very progressive toward women.

Not that I think everything Anthony says is gospel....

love, lore

I voted for 2 weeks in London, because it's what I want.
