The women's group at my church has been e-mailing back and forth all day about what to do. Right now we've been asked to hold off actual donations because Julia and her husband are not sure where they're going to live or if they're going to rebuild. I should know more in the next week or so. The Red Cross is helping out and they have an insurance check, plus friends are boarding their dogs and cats.
There were other families that lost everything (the second and third floors of the building are a complete loss, and the property will probably need to be torn down because of proximity to other houses) and I'll see what's going on. I'll be at church on Sunday and will update then.
