All my past experience says that what I had was food poisoning, not stomach flu. I could be wrong, since my experience with both is rather limited, but it was very hit-and-run with no signs of fever or other non-digestive involvement. (And, for that matter, it hardly matters since by the time it manifested you would already have been exposed, were it something contagious.)
Spending time around strangers sometimes brings bugs home.
